Barrington

Westpac asked Context to create a unique customer experience for their new Barrington branch, blurring the boundaries between mall and bank, and providing a relaxing waiting area to encourage new and existing customers to linger.

After the initial Christchurch earthquake struck on 4th September 2010, Westpac urgently needed to relocate their 500+ employees out of the 13 floors of the Canterbury Centre building that was severely affected by the event and subsequent aftershocks.

Waitemata Table Tennis Stadium

Context has designed a new national Table Tennis stadium to service West Auckland, working alongside the Waitemata Table Tennis Association and Auckland Council.

Creative New Zealand

The brief for the refurbishment of Creative New Zealand’s Auckland office was to reconfigure the existing space to incorporate an increased number of workstations, a larger kitchen, a staff break out space, and an additional private meeting space.

Westpac at The Palms

The February 2011 Christchurch earthquake left the Westpac branch at The Palms mall severely damaged. The new Palms branch opened in September 2011 and reflects the direction Westpac has been heading with their branding and design, including the installation of interactive technologies for customer use.

Winner of a 2011 RED Award, Westpac Riccarton is a bold, fresh and forward thinking retail solution that takes ‘ownership’ of its corner site within the busiest shopping mall in Christchurch.

Project Unity Wellington

Project Unity aimed to unify Westpac’s corporate staff – relocating from various buildings around Wellington – into the one multi-storey building environment. The project aimed to create a collaborative cross-team corporate environment within Westpac.

The brief for Fonterra Brands NZ was for a full refurbishment of their existing premises in Takanini. Context Architects worked alongside lead consultant Aspect Interiors in providing a flexible design solution for Fonterra Brands’ 300 corporate staff.
