Project brief

The brief was to relocate and consolidate Westpac staff from various offices and buildings around Wellington into one building. Known as Project Unity, it was about creating a unified and collaborative team culture for Westpac. The corporate fit out was over five floors of a building in Lambton Quay housing 50 to 55 staff on each level.

Design solution:

The design solution looked to ‘unify’ staff and take out physical barriers to create an open plan, collaborative work environment. The design solution created efficiencies in the use of space and natural light to ventilate and create spaces that people want to work in. Break out spaces and quiet rooms were designed into each floor, with a cafe on level 8.
