Proposed Table Tennis Stadium for West Auckland

Context is currently working with The Waitemata Table Tennis Association (WTTA) and the Auckland Council on a proposal to develop a new national table tennis stadium to service West Auckland.

Recently, Table Tennis New Zealand (TTNZ) won the rights to host the 2014 World Veterans Table Tennis Championships in Auckland. This is one of the largest table tennis events in the world held every two years.

The new WTTA stadium will serve as vital part of the infrastructure to host this international event, linking in with the Waitakere Trusts Stadium as the main stadium. It is estimated 2000 to 3000 people will participate from 50 nations in what is a 5 day international competition.
